International Research Network “IP in Agriculture” Member

The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp, Sweden is a world-class university in the fields of life and environmental sciences. The responsibilities extend over agriculture, horticulture, forestry, the food industry, veterinary medicine and biotechnology, and the wider environment affected by these. The work is characterized by interdisciplinary and comprehensive approaches. University activities are spread between several departments in four faculties. The Department of Plant Breeding is working with research and teaching on the genetic variation among horticultural and agricultural crops, and how to use and develop specific traits of importance for the utilization of plant material for food and non-food applications.
